Well-being is not one thing. It is a broad and multifaceted concept encompassing various aspects of a person's life. It goes beyond simply feeling happy and includes the overall state of one's physical, mental, and social health. In an inspiring keynote, Samanta Giuliani said, "Well-being is a spherical concept."
The choice you must make is to put yourself at the centre of the sphere and take responsibility for your well-being.
You must set the intention to be well.
I'm not saying that setting the intention is enough. Nothing happens without putting in the necessary work. But your attention and energy follow your intention.
If your well-being is not up there with your top priorities, you won't do what it takes to be well. There will always be something else getting in the way of your well-being. Until you can't ignore your well-being anymore.
Your well-being should be among the important stuff, not the urgent ones. And that begins with a choice.
