Life can be so complex and overwhelming.
The days when I struggle the most with making my time matter are the ones when I have many things to do, solve, start, complete, or change, and I don't know where to begin. While I try to figure out what to do first, the day slips through my fingers, and I'm left with nothing but a sense of failure and waste.
On the contrary, when there's one thing to do, and even better when there's an emergency, I become laser-focused and super effective, and I get the job done. But it also makes me feel I'm reacting more than leading my life.
So, there's a bit of a paradox there. I love having plenty on my plate, but then I get overwhelmed and stuck trying to find my way forward.
In the end, I guess it's about understanding my priorities.
And choosing the first piece.
Like with jigsaw puzzles, it gets easier and easier once you place the first piece, then the second nearby and so on.
How do you do it? Where do you start from?
