When I first encountered Werner Erhard's concept of 'possibility' in Peter Block's book Community, it was like a spark igniting within me. I felt an immediate connection, as if this concept was speaking directly to my soul.
From my understanding, 'possibility' is not just a concept, but a transformative force. It's not something we passively observe, but an active process of bringing into awareness a whole new realm of options that were previously unseen. In this process, we don't just explore possibility, we actively become it.
I see evolution as a never-ending and continuous creation of possibilities. At the same time, we manifest the possibilities created by our ancestors and the creators of new possibilities for future generations.
The second part is the most fundamental. We may not reach the end of the possibilities created by ourselves or our ancestors during our time on Earth, but we have a crucial responsibility. We are the ones who can bring forth the possibilities for the ones who will come after, shaping the future with our actions and choices.
Everything we do creates possibilities for a future.
What possibility do you want to create?
What possibility do you want to become?
