Yesterday, I wrote about our inner maps and the importance of updating them regularly to reflect the changes in the territories we want and need to navigate. Language is an essential part of our internal mapping system. Words are so powerful that they shape reality.

It is essential to expand and update our language regularly. To be able to read better what happens around and inside us. Emotional granularity, the ability to make fine-grained distinctions in one’s affective feelings, is vital for healthy emotionality.
