Failure can be a blessing.
It can indeed be a unique opportunity for liberation.
When things do not work out, it becomes easier to change. In the end, what have you got to lose?
It's way harder to change when things are going well. When you are successful, but there's a voice inside you begging to change.
Success can become a trap.
"If it works, don't change it", they say. Even better, do more of it.
That may be a good bit of advice if that's what your soul truly yearns for.
But what when it works but it's not your thing?
I meet successful people doing things that work very well for them. But they are not happy.
Unfortunately, they are unable to change. Because who would be such a fool to change something that works so well?
Yet, humanity wouldn't have evolved to where we are without continually altering what was already working. That is the secret to human evolution.
"Humans don't just break bad; we also break what's good." — from The Runaway Species by David Eagleman and Anthony Brandt.
However, to change what works requires a lot of courage. To break success requires a massive dose of foolishness.
That's why failure can be a blessing.
It forces us to reassess things and allows us to take chances and change.
