Stopping the Hunt
#2052

It’s the time of year when we set intentions, write resolutions, make commitments.
Me too.
I’ve been looking intensively at what is missing. At what I want to get better at.
Then, this morning, my meditation made me realise how much energy I’m investing in looking at what is missing. And how little I put into appreciating what I have.
This new year has barely started, and I already feel the fatigue of change.
So, I sat down, opened my notebook, and for a few slow minutes wrote everything that is working in my life. The people and things that make me happy. The big things and the tiny ones.
The more I wrote, the lighter I felt.
Maybe it was the gratitude. Maybe it was stopping the hunt. I’m not sure it matters.
What are you celebrating today?
