One Apple A Say #881 - Solution
"There are no problems. A problem is just a solution waiting to be found."
This was the usual answer of my first boss anytime I was concerned about some issues, or I couldn't overcome an obstacle in my job.
And most of the time, we found the solution. Maybe after many tries, or taking a detour, but in the end, we came out winning.
Having a solution-oriented attitude is indeed a gift.
Being a biker, I'm well aware of the "target fixation" phenomenon; if you stare at the obstacle, you'll hit it. That's why you must focus on the escapes around the block.
Our energy goes in the direction of our attention. Focus on the problem, and it will fill up your mind.
If you take a step back and shift your gaze on the solution you want to achieve, you may even discover that the problem wasn't so big after all and you can just walk around it.
There is a risk in being solution-oriented, though. You may transform anything into a problem to solve, even when there is nothing to solve. I've been stuck there many times.
Some things are not meant to be solved, but to be lived and experienced.
