One Apple A Day #998 - I chose love
I feel that too many choices and actions, both individual and collective, are driven by fear lately. Fear of getting sick, losing someone we love, being on lockdown again, losing our freedom, being alone, being deceived, losing the job or everything we've built. And many more I can't think about right now.
However, when we are driven by fear, all that matters is survival.
So we frame the world through binary lenses; either you are an ally or an enemy.
There are no nuances.
You are with me or against me.
And if you are against me, then I wish you all the worst.
Because being right, feeling reassured in my own truth is the only thing that matter, the key to my survival. And in this binary perspective, for me to be right, you must be wrong.
But I don't want to give up on the world.
I don't want to let fear get the best of me.
The opposite of fear is love.
So, I chose love and I keep choosing love, every day.
