One Apple A Day #994 - a fragment
We know a lot more than our ancestors. And we have access to even more knowledge.
I don't know how much knowledge I can access in a few clicks. It sure feels infinite. Let alone the one that we can't access yet.
So, whatever knowledge we have or we can access, it is practically nothing compared to infinite.
Yet, we convinced ourselves that we could make the right choice by the sheer power of knowledge and logic. And because of this process, we believe that whatever answer we found must be the "one", the absolute truth.
No wonder that we end up fighting each other. If my answer is the only possible one, yours must be wrong, or you must be stupid. Or both.
What if we start by accepting that we hold only a fragment of truth and what we don't know is far greater than what we know? What if we enter conversations not to prove that we are right but to learn and discover more?
The truth was a mirror in the hands of God. It fell, and broke into pieces. Everybody took a piece of it, and they looked at it and thought they had the truth.
