One Apple A Day #956 - dream big, start small
Today is a special day for me, so forgive me if this post will be more self-centred than usual.
One thousand five hundred fifty-four days ago, I decided I want to become an author.
At that time, I was pretty confused not only about my future but also about my present. I didn't know what I wanted to do and who I was. I was feeling unresolved at an age when I believed everyone should have already found their way in life.
In the midst of that inner chaos, I had a little moment of clarity in which I felt that I wanted to become an author. And I wanted to write in English.
A crazy idea considering my background but, I was confused and with too much free time.
Searching online for ideas on how to become an author, I find a post from someone (I can't remember who, sorry) saying that becoming an author is very simple, "just write something and publish it."
So, that day, February 17th 2017, I started this practice. Every morning, before starting my day, for fifteen minutes, I write. And then I publish whatever I write, good or bad, inspired or not.
A few months later, I reconnected with Sujith, and I began another journey that brought me to coaching and turned my life upside down.
The inner chaos was still there, but I began to embrace it.
Today, One thousand five hundred fifty-four days after I started this practice, you can read the book that I wrote with my friends Sujith and Elliot.
All of this is to say that if you have an idea or feel a call to create something or become something, no matter how crazy it may seem, find the tiniest thing you can do and begin. If you stick with it long enough, magic happens.
P.S. The inner chaos is still there, but I've learned to love it.
