One Apple A Day #912 - you are enough
Yesterday someone asked me what I would say to a young Fabio.
The first words that came up for me were, "you are enough."
I was a shy and clumsy boy with glasses, bad at any sport and always in the clouds. To me, the others were all better; prettier, smarter, nicer.
I know it was not true, but that was my reality.
Sure, I was pretty good at school, but it wasn't enough.
I was also a very reliable kid, but it wasn't enough.
That kind of feeling followed me for many years.
Whatever I achieved, I never felt enough.
It took me many years and a lot of work to move past that feeling.
To feel that I am enough.
Still, sometimes when my energy is low, that doubt sneaks in my head.
Am I enough?
And the answer is yes.
I am enough.
You are enough.
For the simple fact that we exist, we are enough.
There is no if. No measure.
You are enough as you are, where you are.
