One Apple A Day #87
“When life is hard, you have to change” from Change by Blind Melon
Sometimes, life is hard. Your tedious job crushing your aspirations, bills to pay with money that you don’t have, the pain in your back that never fades away, your failures daunting you every time you try to sleep, the words you don’t have the courage to tell your loved one, the broken car, the lies, your dreams covered with dust at the point you can’t remember their colors.
We all have moments when all we want is to escape. We hope for a way out, a fissure in the walls of our life from which we can leave. A force from outside, that shakes our life and turn it upside down. So, we wait for it. We stand still and stare at the walls around us. A lot of people let their lives sleep away waiting in vain for a change that will never come.
We forget so often of the power within us. I can understand why it is so scary. With our inner power comes our responsibility.
Changing from inside-out is risky, sometimes painful. But it’s the only change you can control. And it’s better than a life consumed waiting.
When life is hard, don’t hope for the life to change. You have to change.
