One Apple A Day #869 - Detail
This morning the focus goes to the strength of "detail" as the ability to notice the smallest little things. The ones most of us overlook but often make a huge difference.
The attention to details is one of the games that my mind plays with me. I'm usually better at seeing the big picture, afar from the details to see the connections. To me, it comes more natural to observe and explore more horizontally than vertically. Yet, sometimes my mind tricks me into paying attention to the smallest details, like something ordinary but essential as cleaning the house.
I confess; not on my favourite hobbies. So most of the time, I look for the quickest way to get the job done.
However, some days I become obsessed with some details, and I spend too much time, for my standards, cleaning and polishing one single thing.
It happens with other areas of my life too. I may overlook visible details and become obsessed with something so small to be almost imperceptible.
In the end, I think it depends on what inputs and signals trigger me.
Do you ever experience this sudden obsession for one detail that expands and occupies your whole mind?
