One Apple A Day #863 - Humour
The strength card that I picked his morning is about humour.
My beloved Viktor Frankl wrote that "humour, more than anything else in the human make-up, can afford an aloofness and an ability to rise above any situation, even if only for a few seconds."
I'm writing this while my new dog tries to decide if she likes more to chew my laptop or lick my face. Definitely, my concentration is not on top of her priorities. However, I can't help but smile. Sure, I'm quite sure I'll end with one of the shortest posts in my collection but, who cares.
Humour is indeed a powerful tool. It helped me get through many circumstances. To me, it is like lighting a candle. It always makes things a little brighter. And when it's dark, it allows seeing more and better.
Sometimes, it got me in trouble. I remember that in school, they didn't appreciate my humour so much, it was seen as a lack of respect for the institution. Though, it was a good experience that allowed me to learn the importance of context in humour.
And time is up.
Yep, definitely a short one.
Plus, Lucy says that I should give credits to her for this post.
This puppy is learning too fast.
