One Apple A Day #798 - the sacred and
A few days ago, I came across a concept called the "sacred and" created by Jenna Arnold.
The "sacred and" is about allowing for contradictions and paradox to stand together in the same space. It is about accepting that there can be truth in both sides of an argument. Moving beyond binary thinking to see a third and inclusive way that doesn't leave anyone behind.
It feels so important right now.
Maybe it's due to the media. Or perhaps to the fear for what's happening around the world that pushes us into a self-preservation mindset. But I see more and more people stepping on one side thinking the other one is entirely wrong. No shades. You're just right or wrong.
However, most of the world live in the space in-between these opposites. Most of our life unfold in there.
So, when we got trapped in this binary mindset, we deny a part of our own life. We are not whole anymore.
I believe the most important practice to enter the "sacred and" space is listening.
