One Apple A Day #775 - undefined
As you may read in my post from yesterday, I spent most of the time searching and learning instead of reflecting and writing.
So, I still have these two relevant, at least to me, questions unanswered.
Do we have to define something to fully experience it? Does something exist even if we can't describe it or give it a proper form?
Relationships, for example. Can we wholeheartedly live a relationship if we can't clearly define it? Can we work together even if we don't give a name and form to our collaboration?
Or is there a moment in which we need to define whatever we have to feel complete?
So many questions. To me, the desire to define something sparks from a collecting mindset. We can only collect and own things that have a shape or form, those are clearly defined.
You can own a tree, but how can you own something shapeless like the sky?
Yet, when we think about freedom, the sky, or the wind are often used as metaphors. Things with no shapes and that we can't own.
Being able to live something fully, even if we can't define it, gives me a sense of freedom.
Going back to the original questions, I believe that we can live and experience something without giving it shape and form, but it ain't easy. It requires us to let go of the desire to own.
