One Apple A Day #38
Today is a free writing day.
What does it mean? It means that I will write for 15 minutes following just my train of thoughts. No review, no corrections, just intuition without too much thinking.
It’s a risk. Some time our first thought is not so well defined but it’s a risk I’m willing to take. Yeah, there will be some errors at the end. My english is still far from optimal. Probably also my thoughts would be a bit confused. And to be honest I’m talking about what I’m writing. It’s weird. I should write about what I’m seeing right now. I’m in a coffee shop in Kuwait city. More than 30 degrees outside. 20 inside. They love air conditioning in this country. Probably because they don’t pay for the energy. It’s interesting how it’s easy to not value the things you don’t pay. This country is a continuous waste of energy.
Anyway, I’m sitting here. The coffee shop is located inside a sort of mall. There are people walking around, strolling watching the windows. It’s Saturday, a day off for most of the people here. At least if you’re not one of the worker, or I should write modern slaves, from a south east country. It’s a nice mix of people. Men with the typical beduin dress (I don’t remember the name), total white. I don’t understand how they can keep their tunics so clean. Maybe they have a full wardrobe of white tunics, like the arab version of Zuckenberg. Some of them wear also that cloth on the head. I don’t remember ot this one either. Some are white, some are checkered in red. Someone told me that the shape and the way they wear it define to which tribe they belong. The rest of the men are dressed like in Europe. One things that struck me is the amount of very fit guys. Gyms here are a definetely a thing. On the other side there are also a lot of fat guys. Also burgers are a thing.
Women are more fashion oriented. Most of them wear trendy stuff from the best european brands. Going around dressed like you just came out from a yoga class is another trend here. A minority covers the head and even smaller number use the burka.
If it wasn’t for the heat and the taste of sand in the air you would think this is a mediterranean country. Ok, this was a big risk. Writing “mediteranean” without my grammarly corrector. I’m pretty sure I messed up but I promised at the beginning that I wouldn’t review this piece and I won’t do it.
So you have to accept my errors. You’re authorized to mock me.
Ok, since now it looks like I’m not doing so well in this first try of aimless writing. So I try to finish with a sentence I listend today in one of the online courses I’m following.
To be better in anything you must start being a better person.
Probably it was slightly different but time is over for Today.
