One Apple A Day #379
“Remember that what you do not yet know is more important than what you already know.“—Jordan Peterson
This is the second post in a few days that starts with this quote.
It keeps coming back to me.
It reminds me that what lays ahead is more important than what’s behind.
It’s only about what I don’t know yet.
It is also about what I haven’t done yet.
We are used to measuring our future potential using data from our past results.
It’s understandable.
Our past is the only things we can analyse and process.
But, our past tells us only what is probable, not what is possible.
Our first instinct is to survive, so the need to minimise the risk of dying is natural. With this mindset, "probable” is better than “possible”.
So, how do we embrace the way of the possible?
Like the explorers and the pioneers who used to sail towards the unknown.
We prepare ourselves as better as we can.
We surround ourselves with other explorers.
And we go.
