One Apple A Day #372
“Remember that what you do not yet know is more important than what you already know."—Jordan Peterson
This morning in my meditation a powerful question emerged: "what vital questions am I not asking?”.
Or, in other words, “what questions am I hiding from?”.
Have you ever had the feeling that all the effort you put into dealing with something complex is just a way to avoid facing what is vital?
I invest a lot of time and energy in self-discovery and self-development. I ask myself tough questions; I confront my assumptions, and I try to improve every day. I’m happy about all the work I did on myself in the last year or so.
But then there are mornings like this one. Days in which I wake up and the doubts come. Is it all this effort in some areas of my life a way to hide from something? Am I asking the right questions?
How often do we put all our focus on making one part of our life better with the secret hope that it will make our whole life better?
We hope that if we create a great and successful career, then our family life will be better. Or that if we are a wonderful father, then we will also be a wonderful husband.
