One Apple A Day #336
[it continues from the previous apple]
Growing up, my relationship with my father changed, and it hasn’t always been smooth.
I was seeking my own identity, and in this process, I had conflicting emotions towards him.
On one side, he was my hero. The invulnerable man who always knows the right thing to do. But on the other hand, he was too strict and judgemental; trapped in his truth. The two things were related. In the last years of his life, he softened up. He accepted to be a little more vulnerable, and in doing so, he became more open and willing to welcome other truths.
I inherited and learned a lot from my father.
I still am learning even now that he is gone.
