One Apple A Day #333
He came into this world the 2nd of June 1948. The wounds of the WW2 were still there, mostly hidden inside people. But there was also hope and the will to rebuild houses and lives.
He was the 2nd boy, the first one after the end of the war. I am sure that his early years on earth haven’t been easy, but he always lightly talked about them. He completed only the first three years of school before he started working. Everyone must contribute to the family sustenance, including kids. This was particularly true in his family because his father wasn’t known as a hard worker plus, he wasn’t really an amiable father.
That period in his life made him who he was. A very determined but gentle person, a hard worker, always ready to do what needs to be done without wasting time complaining, and someone who puts his family first.
Though, there was more to him.
There were lightness, romanticism and sweetness. They were almost invisible when he was focused on building a future for his family. But they come out with all their beauty when he got older and that tough skin he used to wear, softened up.
