One Apple A Day #32
They were there. Facing each other, standing still. It was like staring at a picture. If it wasn’t for the light cold breeze moving their hair you would think that time had frozen.
I knew what was the problem. I had to listen to them arguing for almost an hour before I surrendered. I left them with the excuse to go finding a warm coffee for everyone.
Jenna was so angry. When Carla invited us, on the WhatsApp’s group, she only wrote about a cool party for S. Patrick in the downtown. She didn’t mention that the party was outside in this cold weather. Even worst, she didn’t say that real reason for her interest in this party was Jack, not Patrick. She’s been in love with Jack for months. The problem is that he was, still is an asshole. Love is blind and also deaf.
Jenna was freezing and she yelled to Carla, blaming her for the whole situation and her cold feet. Somehow I understood Jenna. The weather was really bad, Jack a proper asshole, and the party absolutely boring.
On the other hand, Carla was just a girl in love. For the wrong guy, sure, but love is always right. She really believed that the party was a good idea. I would bet on that. That girl is so innocent that for me it’s impossible to get upset with her. But Jenna, oh God, she can really become a witch with Carla. They’ve been friends since ever. I knew that this was going to happen and I knew what was the next steps. After the big fight and the harsh words, it was time for tears first, hugs after and then peace. That’s why I was caring a warm cappuccino for both of them.
