One Apple A Day #309
Space.
It’s amazing what happens when you create and hold space for other people.
They expand.
They open up to the space and allow their extraordinary self to step out in the light.
We all have an extraordinary self within us.
But too often all this extraordinariness can’t find a way out.
Our spaces and our lives are crammed with ordinary things, activities, relationships.
In the midst of this noise, we can’t hear our inner voice.
In this crowded space, our extraordinary self can’t find a way out.
Though, it is there.
We know it.
We feel it.
But it’s hard to let our extraordinariness out.
It is scary to go out there in the light.
Where people can judge us.
We feel vulnerable.
This is why I love every time I’m in a sacred circle with other human beings.
When we define our standards, and we hold the space for each other.
We learn the power of being vulnerable.
And in that space, all our extraordinary selves expand and connect.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.”
