One Apple A Day #301
It’s not about finding the path anymore but all about enjoying what is and looking around.
I woke up this morning with a lot of questions.
Questions about myself, my choices, and the reasons behind my actions.
I often have these days when I put everything under scrutiny.
Days when I feel the need to understand the reason behind everything in my life.
Sometimes it is healthy, in particular when I find some answers.
But there are days when my urge to understand is a source of insecurities and my reflections left me hanging from the question marks.
Self-discovery is a great and fulfilling experience. Going deep down in our beliefs, exploring our values, and digging within to find the roots of who we are.
All very compelling activities.
In particular for an introvert as I am.
But indulging too much in self-discovery is risky.
It may become a way to escape the real world.
I’ve been there, trapped in my inner world.
Even if it is lonely, painful and melancholic.
It is mine and safe.
Luckily for me, I met people that made me realise that at some point I needed to move.
If we spend our lives finding the right path, we won’t take any steps forward.
The primary purpose of life is to be lived.
Paths are meant to be walked.
The world is made to be experienced.
So, stop searching for the path.
Just take the one in front of you.
Move your feet and observe the world around you.
