One Apple A Day #293
“What wants to emerge?”
How often, when you feel discomfort or stress, do you ask yourself what wants to emerge?
When you are angry, annoyed or disappointed, where do you point your gaze?
Do you look outside or inside?
The most natural reaction when a circumstance generates tension in us is to change the situation. We take action on the outside event or situation to alter it and remove the pressure. Often, without success or only with limited results.
We don’t control the circumstances, we can only control our reaction to them.
Next time that someone upsets you, things are not like you want them, or you feel the world is acting against you, take a deep breath and try asking yourself this simple question.
“What wants to emerge?”
You may discover an extraordinary energy hiding within you and asking to get out and shine.
Open up.
Being open is not a one-way process.
I made the mistake of thinking that being open was only about letting the world in to inspire me. I forgot that it is also about allowing my extraordinary self out.
In doing so, I was covering my creative inner self with clutter from the outside.
Open up.
To let the universe in.
To let your universe out.
So they will become one thing, and you will be whole.
