One Apple A Day #289
Today is one of those days when everything is hard.
It is not a problem of circumstances.
My world is the same as yesterday.
But I am not.
I woke up with my energy tank empty.
I’m not sure how it happens.
Sometimes, it’s just a chain of almost insignificant behaviours.
Each of them is harmless, so I don’t pay much attention.
But they compound over time until one day, I wake up drained.
Like today.
The brain is responsible for 25% of the calories we consume in a day even its mass is only 4% of the total of our body.
When our body runs out of energy, our brain can’t function at its best.
This is me today. I fill as if I’m swimming against the current.
Every thought is heavy.
Every word a struggle.
In days like this, I learned that my best option is to get with the flow.
I will respect my body, take time to rest and recover, and do things that energise me.
