One Apple A Day #283
“A deeper level of listening is really needed”.
We don’t listen much. We don’t observe.
Our senses are continuously bombarded with inputs, and in our vain effort to avoid missing out something, we stretched our attention so thin that we are not really listening anymore.
We ingest everything in the hope that at some point we will find a sense of all these data. We learned to dump our brain into our devices, trying to free up space for more information.
When was the last time you really listen to someone? The last time you enter a conversation not to share something but with the candid curiosity of a child?
Giving your undivided attention is one of the most precious gifts you can give to a human being in this historical moment.
And when was the last time you genuinely listened to yourself?
Do you know what your body is trying to tell you?
We have filled our lives with external sensors to tell us how we feel because we can’t listen to our body anymore.
You are extraordinary.
Every human being is extraordinary.
This is why it is worth it to listening deeply to yourself and to others.
