One Apple A Day #282
“How do I show up every day”.
There are circumstances in which it is easy to give our best.
When we are competing in some sport.
When we are dealing with a tragic event.
When we are at a retreat among like-minded people.
When the ones we love, or we are facing danger.
These are just a few examples of situations that get the better out of us. Moments in which we are compelled to show up with all our strength, creativity, determination, energy and love.
But these are just moments; small dots in the long continuous line of our life.
How do we show up, when the circumstances are not forcing us to be at our best? What do we do every day during breakfast time with our family, stuck in the traffic on our way to work, at the coffee machine with the colleagues, in the meeting with an annoying client?
How do we show up in our mundane life, every day?
Our extraordinary strength, creativity, determination, energy and love are there. We know it because when the circumstances ask for them, we pull them out.
What would happen if we show up in the same way, every day? If we liberate our extraordinary potential and engage with it, every day?
“How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.” — Annie Dillard
Today, show up extraordinary as you are.
