One Apple A Day #273
“Stop the You! Start with I, We”.
In the last days, I had a few breakthroughs. Those moments when a new perspective emerges and I can see the world with new eyes. These breakthroughs have been possible thanks to the people with which I was sharing my journey. Their presence made me feel safe and allowed me to be vulnerable and move beyond my walls and fears.
One of the first breakthroughs has been the discovery of one of such walls. A wall that I was using as an excuse to avoid leaving my purpose.
I was scared that the world would not understand my purpose. I was worried that YOU would not understand who I am and what my purpose is.
This fear has been limiting my growth in the last years. I did a lot of inner work to discover my purpose, to unlock my potential, to understand my values and build my standards. But, until my breakthrough, all this work was confined within the wall of my fear of not being understood. By YOU.
The card I picked today is a reminder of the moment I realised that it wasn’t about you. It was about me.
My purpose does not need to be understood by others, only by me.
And it does not give meaning to life, only to mine.
I don’t have to explain my purpose to fulfil it. I have to live it.
I, not you.
The paradox is that a vital value of my purpose is listening, not talking. I believe you are an extraordinary human being, an infinite universe to discover. The real fear wasn’t about you. It was about me.
Will I be able to listen deeply to you? Without judgement but in a continuous state of enquiry?
There is only one way to discover it, doing it.
All I need is love.
And I love you.
