One Apple A Day #259
From the biological point of view, life doesn’t care at all about your happiness. For life, we are just carrier of the DNA of our species. That’s it. The more we are, the more successful we are from nature’s point of view.
There is no other meaning in life itself. At least not for life.
It may seem a sad thought, a disempowering one. Instead, I feel it energising.
If life doesn’t care about my happiness or meaning, then I will take care of those.
Discovering the meaning of life may be pointless. But it is vital to find my meaning in my life.
Or better, to find a meaning for me into this life.
If for nature the fact that I am alive is enough. For me, it is not.
So, it is not about finding the meaning of life. It is about creating meaning for my presence in life.
I will stop asking “Why am I here?”. Instead, I will ask myself “Why do I want to be here?”.
