One Apple A Day #251
The acceptance of the fact that there is already everything,
and that nothing is missing,
eliminates the urgency and generates peace.
The quote above comes from a session with one of my beautiful clients.
We are used to focussing on what is missing, on what we need to achieve, that often we forget what we have. This natural tendency to put attention on what is missing is exploited by marketing and sales departments.
For most of us, there are no vital needs to satisfy, so we create new “needs”, new gaps and push ourselves to fill them. A typical approach to increase sales is to “create a sense of urgency” in potential customers.
We all live with this constant feeling that something is missing in our life. And we wander around in a desperate search for that missing piece. The last element that will complete the puzzle. Only that it doesn’t. Because as soon as we get what we want, we start asking again.
What is missing?
Accepting the fact that there is already everything remove that sense of urgency. And you will have the peace of mind to focus on what you want and not on what you need.
