One Apple A Day #250
What does it mean “to be right”?
In our thinking and conversions, expressions such as “you’re right” or “he’s wrong” are habitual. In reality, we are always referring to the words or actions of someone.
What we truly want to say with “you’re right” is that “what you do or say is right”. By the way, with right or wrong, we mean that whatever you did or said fits our beliefs.
So, it looks like it is possible to do something right or wrong.
But what about being?
Is it even possible to BE wrong?
I am who I am, and sure, my words and my actions speak volume about my beliefs and values. But still, they are not who I am.
If we focus on our doing, we will measure our actions on the results, and we will label them right or wrong depending on the outcomes.
But anytime we shift our focus to the being, we transcend the notion of right or wrong. There is no failure at the being level. This is why if we focus on our being, we will empower our doing.
