One Apple A Day #244
“The Cognitive Revolution is accordingly the point when history declared its independence from biology.” from Sapiens: A brief history of humankind.
At some point, our cognitive evolution became faster than our biological evolution. Somehow, we left ourselves behind.
I’ve been thinking at this for a while now.
Have you ever had the feeling that the world is going to fast?
The pace of innovation in all fields of technology is astonishing.
And it’s accelerating.
Innovation is an autocatalytic process. Every innovation sparkle the following ones in a self-sustained loop.
But innovation is mainly based on our cognitive capabilities. On our thinking.
And it is leaving behind our emotions as it did with our biology.
All the framework, the processes, the methodologies focus on thinking. And even when they take into consideration emotions it is only to feed the cognitive process.
Can we still bring back emotions into the innovation processes or is it too late?
