One Apple A Day #236
I love the dawn.
It is probably part of my love for the beginnings.
When all is new, and everything is still possible.
I have a phoenix tattooed on my scapulas. It is a mythical animal with the ability to recreate itself from its ashes. The phoenix was the symbol of the sun. It days every night to reborn every morning, the same but entirely new.
The dawn gives me that feeling. I am reborn. I am the same I was yesterday, but at the same time, I am brand new.
The dawn is also a liminal space.
A brief moment before the darkness of the night and the light of the day.
I love to wake up very early to enjoy the dawn.
In that few minutes before the new day comes in, I feel limitless.
With all the energy recharged by the night’s rest and the world still outside of my door, I feel powerful on every level, heart, mind and body.
The dawn is my anchor.
Waking up at dawn and doing my morning rituals is my way to anchor my day before it starts. It gives me strength and clarity.
We all need an anchor.
Something that helps us going through the day without getting lost. For me is my dawn’s rituals, for others can be an afternoon run or the breakfast with the family. It can be whatever is meaningful for you. But I invite you to find your anchor so you can go through your day and get the best out of it.
