One Apple A Day #215
Learning by doing is a powerful way to improve and acquire skills. The idea is that through practising what you want to learn, you can learn it.
It is not enough to just do. To learn something while doing it, you must be aware of what you are doing, and you must practice deliberately.
Yet, the focus of this learning process is on the doing. You are training yourself as a machine to become better in performing a specific task.
To really make your doing thrives you must nurture your being.
Like for doing, we can learn by being.
In this case, the key is awareness. Learning by being means to be present in the moment. To observe your thoughts and actions without judgement. It is not to add new knowledge, skills or structures. Instead, it is about removing layers until you connect with your true self and just be.
If your being is awakened, then you will expand your capability to learn from doing.
You will begin to learn by living.
Life is a powerful teacher.
And it teaches something unique to each one of us.
Through self-awareness, we can transform any life experience in a learning experience.
