One Apple A Day #155
Buenos Aires, January 3rd, 2017
Here we are, on the other side of the world.
It’s the middle of the summer in the South hemisphere, and Buenos Aires is hot and humid. It takes a while to realise that it’s true. We are finally here, in Argentina. As closer to LA as we ever been.
The long night crouched on the plane’s seats, is taking his toll on our back and we fill a bit numb. We spend some time, while we wait for our bags, to adapt and absorb this new world. As soon as we leave the baggage area, a stream of Spanish words surrounds us.
Thanks to Duolingo we can grasp some words here and there.
But we don’t have time to relax yet. We have to run to the other airport in town to take the internal flight to Bariloche, the real starting point of our trip.
Through the windows of the taxi, we can get only a glimpse of the city but it’s ok, we are coming back in three weeks with a little more time. We even try to exchange a few words with the driver, but our Spanish is not good enough. Or maybe we are just overwhelmed by the emotions. We keep asking each other “We are here, can you believe it?”.
