It hurts.
I read the news, and almost every day, it hurts.
Children murdered in what should be a place of joy, learning and play. People killed only because of the colour of their skin. People beaten, abused and forced out of their homes in Palestine. Families fleeing their country, leaving behind their loved ones to fight a dirty war in Ukraine. People destroying mountains and land for money and power.
The list is endless.
And it hurts in ways that only someone you love can make you hurt.
We, human beings, have an infinite capacity to love. I can see it every day and everywhere, in small and big things.
Yet, we choose to arm other human beings and nature.
I know I am too ignorant, stupid or naive to explain or understand this.
So, I'm not even trying.
I just take this pain and use it to look inside. Because I know that pain is a great teacher.
So, what is this pain telling me? What does it want to teach me?
I'm not sure yet. But while I try to figure out my lessons, I'll do my best to practice compassion, love and kindness with everyone and everything.
