A famous saying of unknown origin states that ships don't sink because of the water around them; ships sink because of the water that gets in them.
The water outside can create immense pressure on the hull of a vessel. Even more, if that vessel is a submarine. The deeper it goes, the higher is the pressure outside.
As long as the hull is intact and solid, there are no problems for those inside.
However, if the water begins to leak inside, you better worry.
Hulls are designed to withstand the pressure of the water outside. They don't manage well the water inside.
Once the water gets in, it creates stress that can compromise the whole structure and sink the ship.
We all experience pressure in our lives. With all its needs, demands, and struggles, the world outside pushes from the outside. However, it is only when that pressure finds a crack and gets in that it becomes stress. Stress that can wear you down very quickly.
That's why we need to worry less about the outside pressure, even when it's high, and take care of the small leaks that may compromise the entire structure of our life.
