You must be sane to realize that you are a fool.
The same goes for wisdom.
If you think you are wise, most probably you are not.
Wisdom, like mastery, is unattainable. It is a journey more than a destination.
Any time you think you've reached wisdom, you have already lost it.
Quite a paradox, isn't it?
I reckon that it is one of my biggest weaknesses.
Sometimes I feel smart; even worse, I feel smarter and wiser than others.
I convince myself that I can see better and understand more.
When that happens, I become self-righteous and judgmental. I go against some, if not all, my values, like being kind and open-minded.
When I catch myself falling into that trap, I bite my lips and use silence to reconnect with my centre.
I guess it is how it works in this never-ending and nonlinear journey of wisdom; we fall, we learn, and we rise again.
