One Apple A Day #1091
Tomorrow it's Christmas, so we are one week away from the end of 2021.
Every year, I dedicate this week to self-reflection. I look back at everything that happened and did not happen, the experiences that I've lived and the ones that I missed, the choices made and not made, the results that I've achieved and the ones that I couldn't.
I look at everything because everything is part of the journey.
That's another vital lesson I brought home from my pilgrimage.
Everything is part of the process of growing.
There is something for me to learn everywhere, in everything and from everyone.
Moving through life, focused on my goals and projects, I easily overlook so many details. Yet, they are all part of the process, even when I missed them.
In there lies one of the great powers of subtraction; it clears your vision and helps you see more and better.
In a pilgrimage, when there is nothing left to do other than walk, you begin to pay attention. Suddenly, the whole world comes alive, and there are lessons all around you.
So, here's my goal for this last week of the year: to subtract and pay attention.
