One Apple A Day #1071
I am fascinated by people. I can spend hours observing them. In particular, while they are working.
I pay attention to what they do and how they do it, the posture, the gestures, the gaze, the energy in and around them.
Living in a big cosmopolitan city, it's a gift in this sense—so many people from different cultures and stories.
However, no matter the type of job, the position or the cultural background, the people who care stand out.
There is a different quality to each of their movements and words.
I can’t point to something specific, but I can definitely feel it. And not only me, but everyone around them.
It's a grace that transpires in how they do things and is infused in the outcome of their work.
In my life, I did many things because I had to, many because I was asked to, and some because I cared. The latter are the ones I can still remember, which impacted someone else's life.
To achieve great results, it's not enough to ask others for their best effort and work. It is only when they care that the magic happens.
But caring can't be fabricated from the outside.
It's not a logical process; it's an emotional one.
It requires trusting people and giving them the space and opportunity to find their own meaning in what they do.
