I wrote about kindness quite often lately.
Yet, it is such a fundamental value in my life that I always find something to add to the subject. Yesterday I reconnected with a friend after a long pause. It was one of those beautiful conversations where things flow naturally. Within and through that flow, I received a gift.
A new perspective on kindness.
Kindness is not in the form; it comes from the essence.
These are the words I jotted down on a piece of paper. It was such a powerful idea that I had to pause for a second and write it.
I always looked at kindness as a way of doing or saying things. I now realise that it is way more than that. It is an attitude that comes from inner strength, clarity and love.
The more we are rooted in our true essence and clear about who we are, the less we need to protect ourselves. So, our words and actions will have natural strength, without animosity or hostility.
Being kind is the practice of nurturing our true essence.
