More and more people are becoming aware that things need to change if we want to have a chance to save our ecosystem.
So, many are asking for change.
We are asking leaders and politicians to change their policies.
We are asking the media to change their narrative.
We are asking for society to awaken and change.
Even in our smaller ecosystems, our communities, companies or families, we ask for some changes.
However, how many are willing to lead the way and change themselves?
We keep asking for the world to make bold choices and innovate.
But we are the world.
Each one of us is the world.
I am the whole universe in the shape of a person.
So, I keep asking myself what bold actions am I making to innovate myself? And what about you?
I know we all have our daily stuff to take care of, and there are plenty of brilliant minds out there creating innovations to solve all those significant challenges.
Though, sometimes I have the feeling that we are not innovating to solve those challenges. We are doing it to avoid for those challenges to compromise our current lifestyle. Maybe the outcomes would be similar or even the same. The intention, however, is radically different. Just a thought.
I want to close this post with these famous words from Rumi.
"Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself."
I'd love to think I'm getting wiser, but most probably, I'm just getting older.
I wrote a more extended reflection about the bold actions we are not taking here.
