One Apple A Day #1000 - next
I wrote the first daily apple on the 17th of February 2017, 1636 days ago.
For more than half of these mornings, I wrote and posted a daily apple.
Who would have thought that this little practice would have got so far?
Honestly, I can't remember most of the things I wrote. But that's not the point of this practice. I don't do it for the outcome.
I write because it reminds me of who I am.
Even more, it helps me become who I am.
Every "apple" gets me a little closer to the person I know I am meant to be.
So, I am a thousand steps closer to myself. But I don't know how many are left. That's the beauty of this journey; I can only see the path walked.
Who knows where it will take me?
What I know is that I'm not going to stop anytime soon.
That first apple was about time and the importance of focusing on the future. On the next step.
I used a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson.
“Finish every day and be done with it. (…) tomorrow is a new day; (…) This new day is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on the yesterdays.
So, that's what I will do. I'll keep focusing on the next apple.
Tomorrow is a new day, a new opportunity to practice and get a step closer to my true self.
