One Apple A Day #03
I will write for 15 minutes every morning in my living room, facing the sea.
I want to improve my writing skills in English. Unfortunately I’m a lazy person who easily falls into procrastination. To be able to improve my writing I know I have to exercise. Every day. As almost all productivity experts say; small daily actions compound to great final results.
So I needed to create a writing habit. This is why I created the One Apple A Day experiment. The experiment is very simple:
Write every day
Write for 90 days
Write about whatever, the act of writing in itself is the important thing
Write for 15 minutes. Not less, not more. To make the habit sticks it has to be sustainable in the long terms. In 15 minutes I can write enough to improve a little every day. But it’s short enough to be able to find the time every day
Write in the morning, it’s the time of the day when I’m most productive and on which I have more control. This exercise must be completed before 12pm, just after my learning morning session
Track the results. Every day I will complete a form to track the result of the daily practice. Did I do it? Was it easier than the day before? Did I do better?
Don’t look at the results before the end of the experiment so I won’t be influenced by them
I must publish every day what I write. I will use this blog on tumblr for this.
So, this is the 3rd day. Today I’m going to create the form to track my daily results.
With this experiment I want to test on my self the power of small daily practices. I want to prove that one apple a day can improve your health.
I wrote this post in 15 minutes. I can write enough words in 15 minutes. I’m really looking forward to see what will be the outcomes of this experiment.
