I don't want to do it.
I just don't.
Do you ever find yourself with your motivation tank completely dry?
I do. And when that happens, there's only one thing I want to do; nothing.
Not forever, obviously.
Only until the motivation tank is filled again.
However, if you've ever tried it, you've also discovered it doesn't work.
Motivation doesn't regenerate itself.
Oh, how much time I've wasted waiting in vain for motivation to come so I could do what I wanted.
I've learned the hard way that motivation is an output more than an input.
You do the work; if it's meaningful, it will create the motivation you need to keep going.
It rarely happens the other way around, at least to me.
Doing the work comes first; motivation joins later.
Once the motivation kicks in, though, it's magical.
The work accelerates exponentially while the effort seems to vanish.
To get there, however, you must start the work first.
