"3 is as far away from infinity as 10 100. You don't get to infinity by conceiving large numbers; you do it by intuition." — from See the world as a five layered cake by Ph. D Amit Goswami
Do you know what infinity is?
In math, infinity is a number greater than any assignable quantity. There is a symbol for it: ∞.
What is the greatest number you can imagine?
How big is it?
You know what? It doesn't matter because as big a number as you can conceive, it will be as far from infinity as the smaller one.
According to the dictionary, to know something means "to have direct cognition of it, to be aware of its truth or factuality."
So, do you know what infinity is?
Do you have a direct cognition of it? Is there any fact or data that can make you experience infinity with your senses?
The answer is no. Infinity is impossible to measure or calculate.
Yet, deep inside, you know what it is.
You know, by intuition.
How many things do you know without knowing them?
How much do you trust your intuition?
