Form and essence.
Everything we interact with has form and essence.
However, the form is the only part we can see and interact with. The essence must be uncovered through the form.
We know it's in there but can't see or touch it.
We can only sense or feel it by interacting with the form.
That's why taking care of our form is essential.
It is how our essence manifests itself into reality.
But what happens when the form gets disconnected from its essence?
What remains is an empty shell—a hollow container that has lost its essence. It may be the most beautiful, valuable, powerful, and captivating form imaginable, yet it is empty. It may look intact from the outside but has nothing substantial inside.
When we focus all our attention on the form, forgetting to take care of the essence, we may end up with an empty shell.
It may happen to people, places, organizations and even concepts like ideas or traditions.
Taking care of the form is vital.
Without form, we don't exist.
However, we should never forget to nurture the essence.
Without it, we are just empty shells.
What do you do to nurture your essence?
