Can I Be Wrong?
#2061

I don’t like making mistakes. It’s painful. And I loathe being wrong.
It’s even worse when a lapse in judgment hurts someone else. It’s just awful.
Yet, the only way to avoid being wrong is to say nothing and do nothing.
And even then, there are no guarantees.
Silence can hurt just as much.
Mistakes are the tax we pay for growth. They are an essential path to learn, get better, and evolve.
That’s why I cherish the relationships where I am allowed to be wrong. The ones where I can make mistakes without fear of rejection. The conversations where I can misspeak and be heard anyway.
It doesn’t make being wrong less painful. But it makes it valuable.
The best relationships in my life aren’t the ones where I’m always right; they’re the ones where I’m safe enough to be wrong.
Who makes you feel safe enough to be wrong?
