Life is seldom linear.
I've learned that.
I know that it can get messy.
Yet, knowing that doesn't make it any easier.
When you stumble on your mess and fall, it's painful.
But after venting your pain, disappointment, frustration or anger, you must choose.
What do you want to do now?
You can suck up your emotions and move on. Or you can give free rein to your rage and go to war with everything and everyone.
I used to opt for the first way. But it never really worked, and sooner or later, the mess is there again.
So, a few weeks ago, when I stumbled on my mess and fell hard, I decided to stay with the pain.
Pain can be a great teacher.
A ruthless one, sure, but a great one.
My pain showed clearly that it was time to do some inside pruning.
Removing stuff that wasn't serving me anymore to give space for the new me to emerge.
In the next apples, I'll share some of the tools I used and the small lessons I've discovered.
Today, I just want to share that sometimes pain is a blessing.
But you must resist the temptation to run from it and listen carefully.
It may be the opportunity for a new beginning.
